I know it's a little early, but we got out the Halloween stuff (just for the inside, though, so it's ok).

Max put the little spiders in the spooky web on the mirror. I had to crop this picture, though, because, as usual, someone only had their undies on.

This weekend Mark and Mattie and I went to the mountains with Mark's college sunday school group. Max stayed the night with Mimi and Papa and Zach.
Mattie really likes the Holy City, especially the throne, where she belongs.
Mark is in his natural element, too.
Mattie enjoyed the attention of all the guys! Look out future 8th graders!
Mark and the boys climbed some rocks up high, and Mattie and I hiked around the rocks at the base of the hill.
I call this one
"Dummies on a Mountain"

Emily hosted the Tuesday night dinner! And it was yummy!
Say hello to the cutest skunk EVER! Tim talked his work into doing the trick or treat this year just so Carson would have an excuse to wear this. I call a few floors to carry the skunk!
Emma got out Mousetrap right before it was time to leave. Thanks, Emma!
The dudes.

It's finally back!!! The Fair!! Yea! Everyone did really well in the fair contests, and it only rained on us half the time.

Max won first place in the Lego building contest!!

Emily won second place in the stocking division.

And I got third in the sweater division.

Mattie won cutest kid who can eat two pounds of cotton candy.

Max's favorite was the trampoline and wall climb.

He made it to the top and rang the bell.

And of course the ball toss.

Who's the Mexican immigrant?

Too cool for school.

What's the cat looking at?

Max and Mattie put on a show... for themselves. They jumped on the couch and watched themselves in the big mirror.

Mattie had her butterfly wings and was singing, I'm a butterfly, I'm a butterfly.

And Max had his sword and was getting beat up by some invisible foe.

Have you ever wondered what Mattie and I do all day? Me too. Well, here are a few of the things.

We shop.

We cook.

We clean.

We take baths with Barbie,

well, Mattie does.

But mostly we have fun.

Month-long Update

Hey!! We're back!! We have lots of updates and some debuts.

First: Carson's debut on the blog

Isn't he cute!!

Carson's cute, too.

Next: Mattie's First Pigtails

And she's only 2 1/2!!

Max made his debut into 1st grade.

He's looks right at home!

And: Chloe's blog debut. She came over and played for a few days while Shannon was in the hospital having baby Cayden. The girls had a great time swimming, playing in the sandbox, and a hundred other things they did.

We went to the Arts Festival last weekend and the kids had their faces painted.

Max got a handlebar mustache and goatee.

And this is actually Spiderman's face. Really.

Mattie drew this tonight, by herself. This cracks me up, look at the eyebrows, and tongue. Even a nose. But no legs. I take off for that.

Anyone who has spent any time with Mattie has seen this face.

Authority figures beware.
